Established in 2008, Red Rabbit Pictures produces feature, television, web, and multi-media projects that focus on high-concept genres. The company also specializes in developing international co-production film projects with a special interest in China, Korea, Japan, and South-East Asia. Based in Los Angeles, the company is comprised of more than 20 award-winning professionals that can make any scale of project from pre-production, production, and post-production.
Dallas’ produced the feature film documentary, THE BILL MURRAY EXPERIENCE (starring Bill Murray), that airs on Hulu and iTunes, and his latest sci-fi feature film direct, INK & RAIN (starring Tamra Dae), is set to exclusively release on China’s largest network, iQiYi. Up next, Dallas will premiere his highly anticipated feature film, KISS KISS (starring Natascha Hopkins), as it begins its film festival run. And currently, PLUR (starring Nathalia Castellon), a TV Pilot written and directed by Dallas, is set to release later this year.
Dallas has earned a (DGA) Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directing, a (MPAA) Motion Picture Association of America award, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association award, The Caucus Foundation award for Best Directing, a 3-time award recipient of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, and a recipient of the prestigious National Hispanic Fund McNamara Grant. His films have been selected and won countless Film Festivals throughout the nation and world.
Dallas’ vision to be a filmmaker came while being a kid that had to interpret movies through words to his blind mother. The story continues as he embarked on several personal trips circling the world twice and touring 66 countries which sparked his passion as a screenwriter. Being the first and still only member of his entire family to go to college by graduating from UCLA with a major in Political Science and continuing his journey by gaining a Masters in Directing at UCLA Film School.
When Dallas is not filming, he is a professor at Loyola Marymount University and UCLA Extension film programs, teaching directing and producing such as his own custom course entitled “How to make Sci-Fi, Action, and Horror films on a budget“. He serves as the President of the UCLA Alumni – Bruin Entertainment Network, and a proud alum of the Delta Kappa Alpha film fraternity.
